One of the men accused in an elaborate scheme to distribute cocaine in Zanesville will be
released from jail with an electronic ankle monitor.
Federal prosecutors agreed today to allow Chad Mills II to go free under community control conditions. Mills, 29, a Genesis HealthCare System officer and Zanesville Police Officers Sean Beck, 28, and Trevor Fusner, 31, were arrested Oct.1 and accused of planning to steal a kilo of cocaine from a Columbus drug dealer and sell it locally. Under the provisions of his release, Mills must wear an electronic monitoring device and report regularly to the court. He also must have no contact with fellow Genesis employees, members of the Muskingum County Sheriff’s Office or the Zanesville Police. Beck also appeared in court today, but waived his right for a bond hearing. He’ll remain in
Franklin County Jail.
